Nothing has only just confirmed the launch date for its next smartphone. While its release is over a month away, Indian retailer Flipkart has already been caught referring to the device as the Nothing Phone (3a), not the long-awaited Nothing Phone (3).
Now, Gadget Bits claims to have discovered various details about to the same device, which Nothing may well have codenamed 'Arcanine'. Unsurprisingly, the so-called Phone (3a) will launch running Android 15 that Nothing offers to its existing product stack as Nothing OS 3.0. The Phone (3a) could well arrive sporting Nothing OS 3.1, the changes for which remain unknown at this stage.
The Phone (3a) is alleged to be replacing the Phone (2a) with a Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset that also underpins the Redmi Note 14 Pro Plus 5G (curr. $389.99 on Amazon). On top of that, Nothing's next mid-range smartphone will complement its mid-range chipset with a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 45 W fast charging and a 6.8-inch AMOLED display that outputs at 1080p and 120 Hz.
Gadget Bits adds that Nothing will install 50 MP primary, 50 MP telephoto (2x), 32 MP front-facing and 8 MP ultra-wide-angle cameras, plus its usual assortment of Glyph lights. Pricing has not surfaced yet, although we doubt the Phone (3a) will cost much more than the Phone (2a) or Phone (2a) Plus if at all. Reportedly, Nothing's March 4 event will serve as the smartphone's global launch.
