The latest Nothing teaser has confirmed that a new smartphone is on the way, and it will be fully unveiled by the company on March 4, 2025. While the company didn't confirm what the name of the device will be, Flipkart, an Indian e-commerce platform like Amazon, may have accidentally revealed that it's the Phone 3a.
To be specific, the product teaser page set up by Flipkart, which has now been taken down, mentioned "Nothing_Phone3a" in the URL, which was later changed to "Nothing_arcanine" before the page went offline. To fill you in, Arcanine is a Pokémon character, and the brand has posted an image of this character on X before.
As for the connection between this Pokémon character and the Nothing Phone 3a, "Arcanine" is speculated to be the codename for the smartphone. Per recent reports, this upcoming Google Pixel 9a rival will feature the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3, a mid-range SoC from Qualcomm.
Recent reports have also shared that the Nothing Phone 3a will sport a 5,000 mAh battery and will support eSIM. Regarding the camera setup, the latest official teaser from the company suggests that there will be a newly designed camera island, and past leaks have hinted that the rear setup could sport a telephoto sensor.
There's no clear information about whether Nothing will launch the Phone 3a Plus alongside the non-Plus variant (2a Plus available on Amazon). It's also unclear if the March 4 event will unveil the Phone 3 as well. However, given that the unveiling date is around the corner, you don't really need to wait long to get confirmations on these.
