A new smartphone has just been registered with 3C as the 25042PN24C - or "the new Xiaomi phone you've been waiting for", according to the famous leaker Digital Chat Station.
Given the timing of this new tip and its apparently favorable reception, the device just might be one of Xiaomi's new foldable smartphones for 2025. Should that be the case, it is more likely to be the smaller, clamshell-style Mix Flip 2, as it has been certified in the absence of the satellite connectivity that might be reserved for the more premium Mix Fold 5.
The second-gen device might make up for that with 90W wired charging. That spec is also present in the Snapdragon 8 Elite-powered Xiaomi 15, and would be a substantial upgrade on the 67W standard of the original Mix Flip.
Its successor is also thought to have an enlarged battery to go with its faster charging, bigger screens and a thinner form-factor nonetheless.
The Mix Flip 2 might also be able to leave the rumored Galaxy Z Flip7 very far behind in terms of wired charging, especially if that Samsung clamshell sticks with the increasingly outmoded 25W speed of its forebear.
The Galaxy Z Flip6: available for $949 on Amazon right now.
