The Galaxy A56 5G seems to be on track to launch soon, having secured approval for sale from the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). The new leak apparently confirms a number of details about the upcoming Android smartphone, its series-first charging upgrade included.

With its 6.6-inch AMOLED display and clean triple rear camera design, the Galaxy A55 5G offered as much of the Galaxy S24+ experience as possible at a reduced price. However, that did not include the 45W Super Fast Charging Samsung chose to yet again reserve for its highest-end new smartphones in 2024.

The OEM plans to finally relent and start seeding it to the Galaxy A series in 2025, as the FCC seems to have confirmed in advance of the launch of the A55 5G's successor. The handset features under its SM-A566E model number in a new certification that specifies 10V/4.5A charging for the upcoming device.

The documentation also confers authorization to use Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3 and NFC on the smartphone. It does not confirm its battery capacity, although it is thought not to undergo a similar upgrade and remain at  5,000mAh in the Galaxy A56 5G.

Meanwhile, the Galaxy A55 5G now starts for $324.50 on Amazon.
