The Galaxy A36 5G has joined the A56 5G in gaining FCC clearance, suggesting that both smartphones will indeed launch soon.
They have a lot in common in their new filings, Wi-Fi 6 support included. In an odd twist, the Commission has chosen to test the A36 with Samsung's EP-TA800 power brick.
It is rated for the 25W wired charging speed of the A35 5G, even though its successor seemed capable of using its 45W counterpart (the EP-TA845) in earlier leaks.
Nevertheless, the A36 5G (or "SM-A366U") is indeed described as having that 10V/4.5A spec in its latest leak.
Therefore, it is possible that it will ship with a 25W charger despite being capable of the 45W Super Fast Charging normally reserved for the higher-end Galaxy S line - or it will not make that upgrade alongside the A56 5G as rumored after all.
Either way, all this intrigue should make their introduction to the mid-range Galaxy A series all the more interesting in 2025.
