The upcoming Galaxy A56 5G will apparently not be alone in upgrading to Samsung's 45W Super Fast Charging spec this year: its smaller sibling the A36 5G is also poised to benefit from the feature, according to the latest reports.
They are based on the discovery of a device referenced in new TÜV Rheinland safety documentation that approves the A36 to ship with 10V/4.5A (or 45W) charging, as opposed to 25W in its predecessor (now available for $349.99 on Amazon).
The smartphone in question has the model number SM-A366U, the last character of which suggests that it is destined for sale in the United States.
A device with the same identifier has also surfaced on Geekbench in a leak that seems to confirm that the A36 5G will most likely run on the Adreno 710-equipped Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 SoC, as opposed to the Exynos 1580 predicted for the A56 5G.
In addition, it looks like the A36 5G will be a 6GB RAM device, while the A56 5G gets at least 8GB.
It also seems that the 2 devices will serve as a preview of Samsung design language for years to come, as they are both depicted with camera humps more like that of the top-end foldable Galaxy Z Fold6 than that of the vanilla flagship S24 as usual.
