2025 is the year in which the Samsung Galaxy A series is thought to finally upgrade to higher-end 45W wired charging - albeit in an upper tier inhabited by the A56 5G and possibly A36 5G.
The A26 5G might fail to qualify and, thus, remain on the traditional 25W standard instead. Nevertheless, it is said to share in the A-series' design language update, which involves a switch to the same kind of triple rear camera hump as the top-end Galaxy Z Fold6.
The successor to the A25 5G (currently available for $199.99 on Amazon) pairs its renewed rear panel with a last-gen display in its latest renders, thereby matching those of its last leak.
Its existence is also apparently confirmed through new appearances on the Bluetooth SIG website, which links the Galaxy A26 5G name to 3 versions of the same model number: SM-A266V, SM-A266U and SM-A266U1, some of which suggest that it will be released to the US market.
Similarly, the A26 5G is now known as the SM-A266B/DS by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), and also seen to have the aliases SM-A266B, SM-A266M/DS, SM-A266M in new TÜV Rheinland documentation (which might also confirm the 25W spec).
Accordingly, it seems the smartphone is also headed to the Indian market, and possibly more besides. There are no indications as to when the updated device might launch there, however.
