A free-to-play arena shooter has just left Early Access and is gaining attention for its physics-based grappling hook mechanics. With overwhelmingly positive reviews, it's currently the top-ranked game in Steam's "Trending Free" charts.

Grapples Galore entered Early Access on November 9, 2023 and officially launched on February 7, 2025. This arena shooter stands out with its physics-based grappling hook mechanics, letting players swing across maps, yank enemies toward them or escape danger in an instant.

The game offers a mix of modes for variety. Alongside classic free-for-all and team deathmatch, Grappleball challenges teams to launch a ball into the opponent’s goal using their grappling hooks – reminiscent of Rocket League. Meanwhile, King of the Hook introduces a strategic twist, with players fighting for control of key points on the map.

The full release of Grapples Galore came with its biggest update yet. The new Facility map raises the intensity of grappling hook battles with vertical skirmishes and narrow corridors. Players can also test their skills in the newly added obstacle course mode. Beyond fresh content, the update introduced a visual overhaul for all existing maps and refined the grappling hook physics, making movement feel even smoother.

On Steam, Zoteling’s arena shooter has been met with a highly positive response. During Early Access, it amassed over 4,500 reviews, with 88% being positive. In the past 30 days, that number has risen to 92%. Grapples Galore also currently holds the top spot in Steam’s “Trending Free” charts.
