Now that the Galaxy S25 (available for pre-order here at Amazon) is slowly arriving in stores or can at least be pre-ordered, many leakers are already turning to devices that Samsung will likely introduce this summer. In addition to the Galaxy S25 Edge with its thinner design, these include the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 as well as the first Samsung tri-fold or multi-fold, which is also expected sometime this year.
A recent leak from a reliable source in the Netherlands claims to have discovered the most important camera specifications for the successor to the Galaxy Z Flip 6, which is also expected this year as a slightly slimmed-down fan edition. If Samsung does give the Galaxy Z Flip7 new hardware features, these are unlikely to be in the camera area, according to the leak. Like its predecessor, the Galaxy Z Flip7 is expected to have a dual camera consisting of a 50 MP main camera and a 12 MP ultra-wide angle. The front camera is said to remain unchanged with a 10 MP sensor.
All of this is unlikely to come as a surprise for eager Samsung fans, especially since the Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25+ did not have any new camera hardware this year. Only the Galaxy S25 Ultra offers something new in the form of a new 50 MP ultra-wide angle. The Galaxy Club suspects that Samsung will instead carry out software improvements, such as the ProVisual Engine, in order to increase the quality of photos and videos on the Galaxy Z Flip7. It remains to be seen whether the better night videos of the Galaxy S25 will also be on board, especially since the new Exynos 2500 is expected this time instead of the Snapdragon 8 Elite.
