Leaks about the Galaxy Z Flip 7 have been picking up the pace of late, with reports highlighting key improvements such as a more efficient display and a smaller crease. Now, there are murmurs of yet another Flip-branded phone, and this time, it actually might be the rumoured Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE that failed to materialize last year.
PandaFlash, the same person who revealed details about the Flip 7, says the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE comes with the same hinge as last year's Galaxy Z Flip 6, the same glass, an aluminium chassis, a 120 Hz screen with 1,800 nits brightness, Wi-Fi 6E and most importantly, an Exynos processor. The last bit is interesting because the upcoming Exynos 2500 is said to be reserved for the Galaxy Z Flip 7. That gives rise to an interesting question: which Exynos chip is it?
Another X leaker @Jukanlosreve answered that question last year. Apparently, it will use last year's Exynos 2400 (or Exynos 2400e found on the Galaxy S24 FE). Given it is a FE-branded phone, it makes sense for Samsung to recycle last year's hardware to keep costs low. Besides, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE isn't meant to top any benchmark charts, so it can get away with an older, but still competent SoC like the Exynos 2400.
