Following an earlier report that the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 will share no resemblance to the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition, new info has surfaced revealing that won't be the case. Apparently, the next gen book-style foldable from Samsung will be getting some features of the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition.
According to Ross Young, the same source from the earlier report, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 should have
the same display sizes as those of the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition. For context, the Galaxy Z Fold SE has a 6.5-inch cover display and an 8.0-inch foldable display. If the info is correct, it means the Galaxy Z Fold 7's displays will be a size upgrade over the 6.3-inch cover screen and 7.6-inch main display of the Galaxy Z Fold 6.

In the X post revealing the information, Ross Young adds that the Fold (6) SE will basically become the Fold 7
. While this can be taken literally to mean the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition will be rebadged into the Galaxy Z Fold 7, it remains to be seen if there will be other similarities other than the identical screen sizes.
This is important considering the source had said in a previous post that the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will not look like the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition, but the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition will not differ from its successor (Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition 2?).
In addition, Ross Young also disclosed that the Galaxy Z Flip 7 will be getting a screen size upgrade, too. The main foldable display is reported to increase from 6.7 inches to 6.85 inches while the cover display will increase from 3.4 inches on the Galaxy Z Flip 6 to about 4.0 inches which is the same size as the cover display of the Motorola Razr+ 2024 (curr. available on Amazon for $799.99).
