Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 SE/Galaxy Z Fold SE 2 is coming but it won't look different from the Galaxy Z Fold SE
This year, Samsung announced two book-style foldable smartphones — the widely available Galaxy Z Fold 6 (curr. available on Amazon for $1,519) and the Korea-exclusive Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition/Galaxy Z Fold SE (sold in China as the Samsung W25). It appears it will repeat the trend next year as the first report of a successor to the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition has surfaced.

The info about the successor to the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition comes from Ross Young, the CEO of Display Supply Chain Consultants, in a response to a question on X. When asked if the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will share any resemblance to the Galaxy Z Fold SE, he said it won't. This means the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will not get the Galaxy Z Fold SE's thin profile.
However, he added that the Galaxy Z Fold 7 SE (tentative name) will look like the Galaxy Z Fold 6 SE (Galaxy Z Fold SE). From his response, it can be inferred that not only will the Galaxy Z Fold SE get a successor, it will have a similar design. This shouldn't come as a surprise considering Samsung's record of repeating the same design over and over again.
While the Galaxy Z Fold 7 SE/Galaxy Z Fold SE 2/Galaxy Z Fold SE (2025) may not look any different from its predecessor, we can expect it to have a few upgraded internals and probably more color options. Whether it will get a wider release than the Galaxy Z Fold SE remains unknown.
It is also worth mentioning that the successor to the Galaxy Z Fold SE is probably the device with the model number Q7M
currently referred to as the Galaxy Z Fold 7 Ultra in an earlier report. The Galaxy Z Fold 7, on the other hand, has the model number Q7
while the Galaxy Z Flip 7 has model number B7
