Oppo has only just officially introduced the Find N5 after engaging in a long teaser campaign. To recap, the company had promised a 'synchronous global' release for its Galaxy Z Fold6 (curr. $1,549 on Amazon) rival. However, the countries where the Find N5 is available do not extend beyond South East Asia at the time of writing.
The Find N5 is already available to import worldwide via reputable third parties. On the one hand, Average Dad Tech and Giztop have listed the Chinese version of the device at the following price points:
Memory configuration | Average Dad Tech | Giztop |
---|---|---|
12 GB RAM/256 GB storage | $1,482 | $1,599 |
16 GB RAM/512 GB storage | $1,650 | $1,799 |
16 GB RAM/1 TB storage | $1,933 | N/A |
Please note that both importers are selling the device in black, purple and white finishes. On the other hand, Average Dad Tech is also offering the global variant, which Oppo restricts to a single 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage configuration with a choice between black and white colour options. This variant carries a much higher price tag though at $1,933, including taxes. Currently, all SKUs should start shipping between February 26 and February 28.
It is worth noting that Chinese versions will likely suffer from some app incompatibilities. Anecdotally, devices running Chinese ROMs cannot load Android Auto, nor is it possible to set a third-party launcher as the device's default. In comparison, global versions should not have any such issues. Please see our Find N5 launch article for full details on Oppo's latest foldable and how the company has distinguished it from its peers.
