The Magic V3 is less than a year old, having debuted in China last July. While Honor took almost six months to bring its predecessor to market globally, the Magic V3 has been available outside the company's home market since early September.
Ultimately, the Magic V3 arrived after Samsung released the Galaxy Z Fold6 (curr. $1,549 on Amazon). Based on recent rumours, Samsung intends to introduce new foldables this July before potentially offering its first tri-fold later this year. According to a new report, Honor plans to get ahead of Samsung and the Galaxy Z Fold7 with the release of the Magic V4.
Allegedly, Honor's next-generation foldable could debut by the end of May or early June at the latest. Little to no details are currently known about the Magic V4 though, nor how Honor will distinguish it from the Magic V3. With that being said, Honor may rely on Qualcomm's slower Snapdragon 8 Elite variant like Oppo is with the Find N5, particularly given how thin the Magic V3 already is.
