OnePlus has just announced that it doesn't plan to release a foldable smartphone this year. That means the Find N5 may not get rebranded to the OnePlus Open 2 after Oppo releases the slimmest foldable phone. However, the good part is that the device will make a global debut alongside the Chinese launch. So, there is hope for faster and possibly wider availability than Find N3.
Nonetheless, with recent teasers, Oppo has been confirming some of the features of the upcoming foldable smartphone. The latest set of teasers has confirmed that the Find N5 will sport a camera feature that's not present on most of the latest flagship phones: telephoto macro, something that tipster Smart Pikachu has reported before.
Vivo X200 Pro is one of the recently launched flagship phones that come with this camera feature. As for the mainstream flagships, the iPhone 16 Pro line and the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra (get a $200 free gift card when you order from Amazon) utilize the ultrawide sensor to capture macro shots, and there's one big difference that makes the X200 Pro better at taking macro images.
With a macro-enabled telephoto sensor, you don't need to get extremely close to the subject to take the macro shot. As for the details of the shots, Oppo has shared some samples in one of the recent teaser posts, and the telephoto macro shots appear well-detailed.
While Oppo hasn't confirmed it yet, the Find N5 is expected to feature a 50 MP primary, 8 MP ultrawide, and 50 MP telephoto with 3x optical zoom. Both the inner and outer displays of the foldable phone are expected to feature 8 MP selfie shooters.
Other expected specs include a 5,600 mAh battery with 80 W fast charging support, a 7-core Snapdragon 8 Elite, and the iconic three-stage button. Given that the launch is set for February 20, more official details could emerge soon.
