Xiaomi has not released the Xiaomi 15 or Xiaomi 15 Pro globally yet, despite presenting the pair at the end of October in its home market. Based on past performance, Xiaomi will not offer the Xiaomi 15 Pro outside China. Instead, the Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Ultra should replace the Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Ultra (curr. $1,040 on Amazon) next month during MWC 2025 in Barcelona.
Nonetheless, leakers are already discussing the state of Xiaomi 16 series. For instance, Digital Chat Station suggests that the Xiaomi 16 Pro and Xiaomi 16 Ultra could share the same LTPO OLED display, which will output at a '2K+' resolution. In other words, the leaker expects Xiaomi to deliver the pair with 1440p panels that support variable refresh rates, just like the company's recent 'Pro' and 'Ultra' flagships.
Incidentally, the displays in these have measured 6.73-inches across from the Xiaomi 12 Pro and Xiaomi 12S Ultra. According to Digital Chat Station, Xiaomi has settled on a larger 6.85-inch diagonal for the Xiaomi 16 Pro and Xiaomi 16 Ultra, which would match the panel size of ZTE flagships like the Nubia Z70 Ultra and RedMagic 10 Pro.
