Sightings of Motorola's next generation foldable have appeared online a few times in the last few weeks. However, it seems that the company has more than just a successor to the Razr Plus 2024 (curr. $579 on Amazon) in the works.
Recent Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) and Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA) certifications reiterate that Motorola is seeking approval to sell the XT2551-6, which the latter identifies as the Razr 60 Ultra. Incidentally, it looks like the Razr 60 Ultra could launch as the Razr Ultra 2025 in North America.
The EEC also highlights that has created XT2503-4, XT2505-1, XT2507-1 and XT2527-2, which could well be a slew of new non-foldable smartphones. While the EEC has not shared retail names for any of these smartphones, we can deduce some details from current devices.
For instance, the Moto G85 carries the model number XT2427-1 in some markets. Meanwhile, Motorola has assigned 'XT2407-1' and 'XT2403-4' to the Edge 50 5G and Edge 50 Pro, respectively. Thus, it appears that Motorola intends to offer the following smartphones at some point this year:
- Motorola Edge 60 Pro - XT2503-4
- Motorola Edge (2025) - XT2505-1
- Motorola Edge 60 5G - XT2507-1
- Motorola Moto G86 - XT2527-2
- Motorola Razr 60 Ultra - XT2551-6
