Over the past few weeks, bits and pieces of information about the Motorola Razr 60 Ultra have emerged online via a spate of leaks. Now, all of them come together via one mega-leak posted by @OnLeaks and 91mobiles. It essentially confirms the Motorola Razr 60 Ultra will be an ultra-premium device and demand a similar price tag.
Motorola Razr 60 Ultra will include some meaningful upgrades
For starters, the Motorola Razr 60 Ultra will arrive with a Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC. A Geekbench listing from earlier stated it would be accompanied by up to 16 GB RAM. Moreover, storage maxes out at 512 GB. A 4,700 mAh battery will power the whole thing. It supports 67 Watt fast charging over a cable and 30 Watts wirelessly.
At the back, the Motorola Razr 60 Ultra will arrive with two 50 MP camera sensors, with the primary wide-angle lens supporting Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). It axes the telephoto sensor for an ultra-wide-angle lens; disappointing for a device of this stature. Lastly, Motorola will use another 50 MP sensor for selfies.
Moving on to its screen, the Motorola Razr 60 Ultra will come with a 7-inch (1440p) LTPO AMOLED display that supports HDR 10+ and, peak brightness of 4,500 nits, 300 Hz touch sampling rate and 165 Hz refresh rate. It is a hair longer than the last-gen Motorola Razr 50 Ultra (6.9-inch). But, the cover display does not get an upgrade, sticking to the same 4-inch version of the primary display.
Overall, the Motorola Razr 60 Ultra seems like a decent upgrade over the Motorola Razr 50 Ultra, except for the telephoto lens. However, keeping a Snapdragon 8 Elite cool in a foldable form factor will be a challenge in itself, and it'll be interesting to see how Motorola handles it. Plus, it sets the stage for the Galaxy Z Flip 7, which, depending on who you ask, might launch with an Exynos 2500, Exynos 2500e or Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy.
