Motorola is in the midst of updating its Edge smartphone series with new models. To recap, the company has introduced the Edge 60 Fusion and Edge 60 Stylus within the last few weeks. On top of that, plenty of evidence already exists to suggest that the Edge 60 and Edge 60 Pro will not be far behind, either.
It seems that Motorola could soon be returning to the Moto G brand with a new model too, having released the Moto G Stylus (2025) in the US earlier this month. Although a release date remains unknown for now, Nieuwe Mobiel has obtained promotional renders of the Moto G86 in two colour options. In short, the Moto G86 looks more like a member of the Edge 50 series than its predecessor (curr. $229.95 on Amazon).
For example, Motorola has added a third rear-facing camera for this generation, just like last year's Edge 50 Pro. As a result, the Moto G86 has a much wider camera housing than the Moto G85, which also blends into its textured back panel. Details about specific camera hardware have not emerged yet, though.
The Moto G86 adopts a flat display too with comparatively thin bezels. Based on a prior leak, the Moto G86 will start at approximately €330 (~$376) with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. While technical specifications remain unknown at the time of publication, the two colour options that have leaked so far should be complemented by third and fourth finishes called Golden and Red.
