Motorola’s Edge 50 series smartphones were a big hit, which debuted last year. Now, Motorola has finally introduced the first phone in its Edge 60 series, the Edge 60 Fusion. A direct successor to the Edge 50 Fusion comes with significant upgrades in terms of processor and battery. This time around, Motorola went with the MediaTek chipset for its latest Edge 60 series smartphone.
The Motorola Edge 60 Fusion features a MediaTek Dimensity 7400 chipset paired with up to 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage, with room for storage expansion up to 1 TB via microSD card. Software-wise, the device runs Android 15-based Motorola’s Hello UI out of the box. The company has also promised three major Android updates (Android 16, 17, and 18) and four years of security patches.
Speaking of the front, there’s no upgrade here. The Edge 60 Fusion retains the same 6.67-inch pOLED quad-curved display with a resolution of 2712 x 1220 pixels, a refresh rate of 120 Hz (down from 144 Hz of the Edge 50 Fusion), and a peak brightness of 4,500 nits. Plus, the panel has HDR10+ support and covers 100% of the DCI-P3 color space.
The battery capacity of the smartphone is bigger than before. However, it’ll vary depending on the region. For example, the UK market will get a 5,200 mAh battery, while others will get a slightly bigger 5,500 mAh battery with 68 W wired charging support. The camera department remains the same. Although it may look like four on the back, but one is a flicker sensor and another is the flash. So, actually, it features a dual rear camera setup consisting of a 50 MP Sony Lytia 700C sensor with OIS and a 13 MP ultrawide shooter. At the front, there’s a 32 MP selfie camera.
Moreover, Motorola also packs many AI-powered features into the smartphone, including AI magic eraser, circle to search, summarizing audio, transcribing, and the magic canvas that generates images based on the user's text prompts. Dimensionally, the device is slightly thicker than the predecessor (with 7.9 mm), measuring 161.2 x 73.08 x 8.2 mm (6.34 x 2.87 x 0.32 inches) and weighing around 180 grams (0.39 lbs).
Available in Pantone-validated amazonite (in canvas-effect finish) and zephyr and slipstream (in faux leather finish), the Edge 60 Fusion is now available via Motorola’s official website for £299.
