The Motorola Edge 60 Pro is set to launch later this year with a familiar design for fans of the Edge 50 Pro. Seemingly, the device's arrival could be right around the corner and with a noticeable performance boost thanks to the MediaTek chipset that powers the Poco X6 Pro and Xiaomi 14T.

Motorola has now kicked off the Edge 60 series with the Edge 60 Fusion, which directly replaces the Edge 50 Fusion (curr. $262 on Amazon) with a modernised design and a few hardware upgrades. the Edge 60 Fusion is unlikely to be the only Edge 60 series member for long, though. If new leaks are any indication, then the Edge 60 Pro is not far behind.

For instance, XpertPick and Sudhanshu Ambhore have shared photos of what they claim is an actual Edge 60 Pro unit. Unfortunately, neither have provided any other details about the photos' origin nor whether they were accompanied by any device specifications. Nonetheless, the presence of rulers in both images suggest that they were published by a regulatory body like the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in the US or the Telecommunications and Digital Governemt Regulatory Authority (TDRA) in the UAE.

At any rate, the front and rear designs shown conform with promotional images of the Edge 60 Pro that surfaced online last month. If a recent Geekbench listing is anything to go by, then Motorola will complement the Edge 60 Pro's curved display and triple rear-facing cameras with a Dimensity 8350 chipset and 12 GB of RAM. According to our benchmarks, the switch to MediaTek's 4 nm chipset will deliver approximately a 20% CPU performance improvement over the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 Motorola uses in the Edge 50 Pro. In other words, the Edge 60 Pro should be about as powerful as the Poco X6 Pro and Xiaomi 14T that we reviewed last year.
