Samsung has revealed precious little about the Galaxy S25 Edge yet. As it stands, the company showcased the device during January's Galaxy Unpacked event before bringing it to MWC 2025 in Barcelona last month. Officially, Samsung has not shared any device specifications, let alone a release date.
Nonetheless, it has allowed rumours to proliferate that it would be launching the Galaxy S25 Edge in April as the fourth member of the Galaxy S25 series. Specifically, various sources cited April 15 as the device's launch day, despite Samsung never admitting as much publicly.
According to more recent reports, Samsung has now had to push the device's release to May or June. Allegedly, a reorganisation of the company's Mobile Experience Division has prompted the delay, although ET News only cites unnamed industry sources. Ice Universe reiterates this too, but without providing any further clarification about the cause of the delay.
Conversely, Max Jambor suggests that an April launch event was never accurate. Instead, he claims that the Galaxy S25 Edge was only ever tentatively scheduled for release in Q2 2025. In other words, we may still have nearly three months to wait before Samsung's thinner alternative to the Galaxy S25 Plus or Galaxy S25 Ultra (curr. $1,073 on Amazon) is actually available to order.
