Vivo still has not confirmed when it will officially present the X200 Ultra yet. Instead, it teased yesterday that it would eventually unveil its latest flagship alongside other devices like the X200s and Pad5 Pro. On top of that, executive Han Bo Xiao has been continually revealing tidbits about the camera system inside the device.
To that end, the same executive has now shared sample shots taken with the X200 Ultra's telephoto camera. While the forthcoming Find X8 Ultra will match the Galaxy S25 Ultra (curr. $1,073 on Amazon) and Xiaomi 15 Ultra with a pair of telephoto cameras, the X200 Ultra will make do with a single sensor. According to Han Bo Xiao, the X200 Ultra will have a 200 MP telephoto sensor at its disposal that can capture up to 38% more light than the equivalent inside its predecessor.
Thus, it seems that rumours were accurate in suggesting that Vivo has returned to the ISOCELL HP9 for another generation, albeit with a larger aperture. Han Bo Xiao clarifies that the upgraded telephoto camera will capture shots natively at 85 mm. With that being said, sample photos taken at 10x (230 mm), 20x (460 mm) and 30x (690 mm) hold up well even in low light conditions. Ultimately, we would recommend waiting until independent reviews arrive before passing judgement, despite how detailed these sample shots look.
