To kick off the new week, it’s arguably worth taking a look at the latest Vivo X200 Ultra leak coming out of China. Even though it's not entirely certain that the images above and below actually show the final Zeiss camera flagship design for 2025, we still consider these pictures and the video embedded below to be quite authentic.
The first image of a Vivo X200 Ultra test unit in bright red already surfaced in China a few weeks ago, but now a new hands-on video has also leaked and emerged on the social media app called "Little Red Book," which has recently become known outside of China as well. It was then shared on Weibo, along with some slightly blurry hands-on images that clearly show the "Vario-Apo-Sonnar" and "1.69-2.27 / 14-85mm ASPH" markings on the phone. The latter fits perfectly with the purported specs of the first Vivo 35mm camera flagship that have already been mentioned by leakers as well as Vivo managers.
Hands-on video shows huge camera module and shutter release
The pictures and video below further show just how thick the camera module of this no-compromise camera flagship has actually is. With three nearly equally large 1/1.28-inch to 1/1.4-inch sensors, it obviously needs quite a lot of space, especially since the module also has 3x OIS and a brighter 200-megapixel telephoto camera. In these image, the camera bump looks almost as thick as the chassis of the smartphone itself.
On the back of this silver Vivo X200 Ultra, a textured back panel extends at least to the middle of the circular camera bump. The zoomable LED flash with a multispectral sensor is located on the top left. Meanwhile, the front shows a quad-curved display glass and, unfortunately, a screen that's turned off. On the right side is the new camera button for conveniently triggering the camera. Last but not least, Vivo has already released some official sample shots in order to highlight the image quality of the new 35mm Zeiss camera.
