The Vivo X200 Ultra has been available in China for almost a week, and on Chinese social media websites, the latest Zeiss camera flagship is the number one topic. Since there are already some first impressions from international reviewers as well, we are going to take a look at two videos from Gizmochina and Ben's Gadget Reviews, with one exception, as they are easier to understand for international users.
The screenshot below has been taken from a Chinese review, which visualizes how the triple-camera setup of the Vivo X200 Ultra differs from conventional camera flagships. If you're looking for the best quality at a 23/24mm focal length, you're probably better off with the Oppo Find X8 Ultra, Xiaomi 15 Ultra or Galaxy S25 Ultra. But most other focal lengths benefit from the three roughly equally sized sensors found in the latest Zeiss flagship from Vivo.
Hands-on of the photography kit and teleconverter
The first English video about the Vivo X200 Ultra likely comes from Gizmochina. It gives another overview of the Vivo camera and introduces the separately available photography kit and teleconverter, which are already available via import for pretty lofty prices. The reviewer criticizes the supposedly unimpressive quality of the adapter, and there also seem to be a few software issues that affect the Vivo X200 Ultra and teleconverter, which will hopefully be fixed in the coming weeks.
Hands-on, first review and comparison with competing smartphones
Ben Sin has also published a video with his early impressions of the Vivo X200 Ultra, camera grip and 85 to 200mm lens. The reviewer is arguably a Vivo fan and seems quite satisfied with the Vivo X200 Ultra. The video includes comparison photos and videos with an iPhone 16 Pro Max and Oppo Find X8 Ultra, and he promises more in-depth comparisons with the Xiaomi 15 Ultra and other devices in the coming days.
Shot on Vivo X200 Ultra: Porsche 911 product video
Vivo really wants to convince filmmakers with 4K60 LOG and 4K120 video, and it seemingly worked in this specific case. The Chinese video embedded below focuses on the Porsche 911 and was shot entirely with Vivo phones like the Vivo X200 Ultra.

Concert shots, landscapes and street and architectural photography in particular benefit from the improved ultrawide-angle camera as well as the dedicated 35mm lens of the Vivo X200 Ultra. These were difficult to pick, as there are countless other high-quality pictures on Weibo, all taken with the Vivo X200 Ultra or the optional teleconverter.
