Vivo executive Han Bo Xiao has delivered a new round of teasers relating to the X200 Ultra on Weibo. Recently, the executive shared camera samples that painted the device in a particularly good light next to a DSLR and an iPhone 16 Pro Max (curr. $1,021.95 on Amazon). Following that, Han Bo Xiao attempted to show that the X200 Ultra surpasses the same iPhone in one of Apple's traditional areas of strength.
Now, the same executive has showcased stills shot using the X200 Ultra's new ultra-wide-angle camera. According to Han Bo Xiao, the camera sports a 1/1.28-inch optical format with 'Zeiss ultra-level' optical image stabilisation (OIS). In other words, it appears that the X200 Ultra will leverage the Sony LYT-818 that outputs natively at 50 MP.
If prior leaks are accurate, Vivo will use the same sensor for the X200 Ultra's primary camera. For context, the LYT-818 is expected to be joined by a 35 mm lens as part of the X200 Ultra's primary camera. By contrast, the device's ultra-wide-angle camera should benefit from a 14 mm equivalent focal length. Regardless, both cameras will utilise two dedicated image signal processors (ISPs), details of which we have covered separately.
