Much has been said about OnePlus's upcoming 13T compact flagship phone. While information about the OnePlus 13T has come from the rumor mill exclusively, that has now changed, with OnePlus officially confirming the existence of the smartphone today.
As shared on its official Weibo page, OnePlus has now stated its plans to launch the 13T shortly, via a series of joke posts. Today is April Fools' Day, so not all the information shared on those posts can be taken as factual. The first of them, for example, claimed the 13T would be unveiled today, with an elaborate video teasing the phone being posted at the supposed launch event time instead.
That said, the posts make it clear that the OnePlus 13T is on its way. One caption reads: "Top performance in your hands, this is an unprecedented technology product, refreshing your understanding of small and powerful." The OnePlus 13T is widely expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite and has been mooted to feature improved heat dissipation design and hardware.
According to Digital Chat Station, the OnePlus 13T will launch with enhancements to its gaming performance, battery life, display, and network capabilities. Interestingly, the leaker claims the 13T's design will be inspired by Google. That may indicate a horizontal camera module similar to that of the upcoming Google Pixel 9a or, perhaps, a vertically stacked one like on the Pixel 9 Pro Fold (buy on Amazon).
Either way, we won't have to wait much longer to find out, with OnePlus likely now set to begin releasing official information about the phone ahead of its rumored late April release.
