Leakers like Digital Chat Station have been gradually revealing information about the Vivo X200 Ultra for a while. However, Han Bo Xiao continues to highlight features of the company's next flagship that had not been previously brought to light.
For example, product manager Han Bo Xiao provided details about the X200 Ultra's use of two dedicated image signal processors (ISPs) yesterday, more details of which we have covered separately. Now, he has confirmed that Vivo is using the device to showcase an advanced LED flash array.
According to Han Bo Xiao, the X200 Ultra can adjust the light cone of its LED flash to simulate having an external light source to hand. Theoretically, this should allow the X200 Ultra to capture shots with richer dynamic range in low-light conditions, an example of which we embedded below.
While comparisons against Canon's Eos 5 Mark 4 show the limitations of the X200 Ultra in this area, Vivo's next flagship appears to do a better job than the iPhone 16 Pro Max (curr. $1,021 - refurbished on Amazon). Ultimately, we would recommend waiting for independent camera samples to arrive before passing judgement on the X200 Ultra's relative camera capabilities. To that end, Vivo will unveil the X200 Ultra next month in the wake of the Find X8 Ultra's official launch.
