Oppo has shared a crucial detail about the Find X8s series, which will consist of the Find X8s and the larger Find X8s Plus. For context, the company teased initial information about its smaller variant earlier this week. Now, it has confirmed that the series will be underpinned by MediaTek's next flagship chipset.
As the image below shows, the chipset in question is the Dimensity 9400+. Incidentally, Oppo's latest teaser is the first time that the new chipset has been mentioned by name; previously, MediaTek only hinted that it would be presenting something new during its next Dimensity Developer Conference (MDDC 2025) on April 11.
The Dimensity 9400+ will arrive around six months after the debut of the Dimensity 9400. Strictly speaking, it is actually the successor to the Dimensity 9300+, which underpins devices like the Xiaomi 14T Pro and Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra (curr. $1,044.99 on Amazon). Based on a recent Geekbench listing, the Dimensity 9400+ should provide the Find X8s and Find X8s Plus with faster ARM Cortex-X925 and Cortex-X4 CPU cores than the regular Dimensity 9400. Full details about the changes between the Dimensity 9400 and Dimensity 9400+ remain unknown for now, though.
