Xiaomi has presented the Poco F7 Pro today along with the more expensive Poco F7 Ultra. Effectively, the Poco F7 Pro replaces both the Poco F6 and Poco F6 Pro (curr. $429 on Amazon), given that the Poco F7 does not officially exist yet. With that being said, there are rumours that Xiaomi will introduce a cheaper Poco F7 later this year in India.
As for the Poco F7 Pro, Xiaomi has equipped it with a 6.67-inch and 120 Hz AMOLED display that resolves at 1440p with 1,800 nits peak brightness. For reference, the latter can rise to 3,200 nits across a small portion of the device's display but only when viewing HDR content. Meanwhile, the large display also hides an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner and a 20 MP front-facing camera.
The Poco F7 Pro contains a 50 MP and f/1.6 primary camera taken straight from the Poco F7 Ultra. Xiaomi complemented this 1/1.55-inch and optically stabilised sensor with a weaker 8 MP ultra-wide-angle camera in the Poco F7 Pro, though. Similarly, the Snapdragon 8 Elite has been swapped for the older but still powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. Underpinning all this hardware is a 6,000 mAh battery that can be recharged at 90 W; the Poco F7 Pro misses out on wireless charging altogether.
Xiaomi promises to deliver four major Android OS updates from Android 15 onwards and six years of security patches. The Poco F7 Pro starts at £499/€599 (~$645) with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. Alternatively, the device is available with double the storage for £549/€649 (~$698). Both SKUs can be picked up with £100/€100 launch discounts until April 10. Please see Xiaomi's website for more information.
