Last week, Samsung Germany already confirmed that the rollout of the Android 15-based One UI 7 will kick off on April 7th. Samsung’s website for the Czech Republic has now announced more specific release dates for numerous smartphones and tablets. While these may vary slightly in other countries and regions, this is Samsung’s most detailed overview of the One UI 7 rollout timeline yet. Specifically, the update will be rolled out to various smartphones and tablets in the following order:
April 10:
- Samsung Galaxy S24 | Galaxy S24+ | Galaxy S24 Ultra
- Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6
- Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6
April 14:
- Samsung Galaxy S24 FE
- Samsung Galaxy S23 | Galaxy S23+ | Galaxy S23 Ultra
- Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5
- Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5
- Galaxy Tab S10 | Galaxy Tab S10+ | Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra
April 21:
- Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 | Galaxy Tab S9+ | Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra | Galaxy Tab S9 FE
"Coming weeks":
- Samsung Galaxy S23 FE
- Samsung Galaxy S22 | Galaxy S22+ | Galaxy S22 Ultra
- Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 | Galaxy Tab S8+ | Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra
Rather unsurprisingly, newer devices will receive the update first, led by the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+ and Galaxy S24 Ultra. The Galaxy S23 series and the Galaxy Tab S10 will follow just a few days later, while the Galaxy Tab S8 and Galaxy Tab S9 series are expected to receive the update by the end of April. For the Galaxy S23 FE and the Galaxy S22 series, Samsung only sets a vague release date in the "coming weeks" after that.
It usually takes a few days until the rollout is completed and all users of compatible smartphones or tablets will be able to install One UI 7. We have summarized the details of the most important changes that are included in the Android 15 update in a separate article. One of the most notable changes is arguably the so-called "Now Bar," which displays ongoing activities such as music playback or timers on the lock screen. Samsung has also revised the Pro mode in the camera app, and introduces a range of new and improved AI features.
