Samsung has released its 2025 series of Odyssey gaming monitors that includes the 27-inch 4K OLED monitor with the highest refresh rate and pixel density so far, and a 3D screen that doesn't require glasses. The series also comes with a curved 49-inch Odyssey G9 Dual QHD model version refresh.

Samsung has announced the pricing and availability of the industry-first 4K OLED monitor that is capable of 240 Hz refresh rate.

Part of its 2025 OLED gaming monitor series unveiled at CES 2025, the Odyssey OLED G8 costs the equivalent of $1,150 for the 27-inch model and $1360 for the 32-inch version in South Korea, where it is being released first.

Samsung Display informed today that there are already sizable orders for the 240 Hz Odyssey G8, and it is planning to ramp up its production in order to meet larger-than-expected demand.

It doesn't require specialized glasses to view 3D content, as Samsung equipped it with eye-tracking technology and custom lenticular lens. Compatible content like Nexon's The First Berserker: Khazan game title that launches on March 28, as well as AI-converted 3D video, are accessible via Samsung's Reality Hub app.

Samsung cautions that the 3D effects may vary depending on the game title and graphics card performance, with Nvidia RTX 3080 or higher recommended for the best 3D experience.

Samsung Odyssey G91F 49-inch gaming monitor price and specs

The other new Odyssey gaming monitor refresh that Samsung launched today is in the 49-inch G9 series.

The new Odyssey G91F Dual QHD model costs the equivalent of $990, and offers a 1000R curve for wrap-around gameplay.

It comes with 144Hz refresh rate and 1ms response time, while the DisplayHDR 600 and HDR10+ certifications add to its gaming street cred by enhancing contrast and colors.

Finally, Samsung released its biggest 16:9 widescreen monitor to date. The 37-inch Viewfinity S8 (S80UD) model comes with native 4K native resolution, HDR10 wide color gamut support, and sports a KVM switch as well as a USB-C hub that can deliver up to 90 W charging speeds.

Samsung is yet to announce the US pricing and availability for its new 2025 Odyssey or Viewfinity monitors, but given their global launch announcement today, the US release shouldn't be far behind.
