MSI has introduced a few OLED gaming monitors lately. To recap, the company unveiled the MAG 273QP X24 before releasing the MPG 272URX QD-OLED (curr. $1,099 on Amazon) with one of Samsung Display's new Gen 4 QD-OLED panels.
Now, it has returned to Samsung Display's older Gen 3 QD-OLED panels with the MAG 271QP X24. As its name suggests, the MAG 271QP X24 leverages a 27-inch panel with a 240 Hz refresh rate. The QD-OLED panel also outputs at 1440p with 0.03 ms GtG response times and 250 nits full panel brightness or 1,000 nits (3% APL) in small areas when viewing HDR content.
In fact, precious little has changed from the older MAG 271QPX E2 or the MAG 273QP X24. As far as we can tell, the MAG 271QP X24 misses out on USB Type-C connectivity and eschews AMD FreeSync Premium Pro certification in favour of VESA Adaptive-Sync technology. The new monitor still contains a single DisplayPort 1.4a port and a pair of HDMI 2.1 ports though, as well as a 3.5 mm jack.
The MAG 271QP X24 has a different rear layout to the MAG 273QP X24 too. Currently, MSI sells the MAG 271QP X24 through Newegg for $679.99. Please see MSI's website and the datasheet below for further technical details.
