Asus has expanded availability of the ROG Strix XG27UCDMG, which debuted in China less than a month ago. For context, the XG27UCDMG is Asus' latest 27-inch and 4K OLED gaming monitor after releasing the similar ROG Swift PG27UCDM (curr. $1,299 on Amazon) in February.
While Asus teased the ROG Swift PG27UCDM and formally announced it before launching it globally, the same cannot be said for the ROG Strix XG27UCDMG. Instead, the company has quietly started selling the latter through retailers across Europe and the UK.
To recap, the ROG Strix XG27UCDMG and ROG Swift PG27UCDM differ mainly in terms of their DisplayPort connectivity. Specifically, the ROG Strix XG27UCDMG leverages DisplayPort 1.4 rather than DisplayPort 2.1 like the ROG Swift PG27UCDM. Both monitors feature the same HDMI 2.1, USB Type-A, USB Type-B and USB Type-C ports, though. The ROG Strix XG27UCDMG matches its sibling by using the same Gen 4 QD-OLED panel too with its 240 Hz refresh rate, 0.03 ms GtG response times and 1,000 nits (HDR) peak brightness.
The ROG Strix XG27UCDMG is currently available in the Eurozone for €1,049 from multiple retailers. As ComputerBase notes, this makes Asus' latest 27-inch and 4K OLED gaming monitor around €300 cheaper than the ROG Swift PG27UCDM. Please note that although the ROG Strix XG27UCDMG is available in the UK for £1,379.85, this is from a German retailer. As a result, this is unlikely to be the monitor's MSRP in the UK.
