With the ROG Swift OLED PG27UCDM, one of the world's first 27-inch 4K gaming monitors has now hit the market. It is equipped with a fourth-generation QD-OLED panel with a 240Hz refresh rate as well as DisplayPort connectivity with a bandwidth of 80 Gbit/s, which are supposed to make this monitor perfect for gaming enthusiasts.

The Asus ROG Swift OLED PG27UCDM was officially unveiled at CES 2025 in January, but Asus did not confirm any pricing details or an exact launch date at that point in time. Now, the 27-inch gaming monitor has finally been listed by a couple of well-known US retailers. Online shops like Newegg and Microcenter should start accepting orders in the next few days or weeks.

The new Asus gaming monitor is currently listed for $1,099, which makes this 27-inch model almost as expensive as the larger but also older ROG Swift OLED PG32UCDM, which is currently priced at $1,199 on Amazon. That said, Asus’ latest gaming monitor is one of the very first 27-inch OLED monitors with 4K resolution and a high pixel density of 166 PPI. In combination with the fourth-generation QD-OLED panel, text should also be razor-sharp.

The 4K OLED panel features a full-screen brightness of 250 nits and peak HDR brightness of 1,000 nits, while 145% of the sRGB color space can be displayed. With a refresh rate of 240Hz, AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and Nvidia G-Sync support, the monitor is obviously designed for gaming enthusiasts. Asus also says the monitor has a response time of just 0.03 milliseconds.

The monitor further supports DisplayPort 2.1a with a bandwidth of 80 Gbit/s. Additionally, there are two HDMI 2.1 and a USB-C port, the latter of which can charge laptops with up to 90 watts and be connected to a USB-A hub with three ports. Last but not least, a sensor can automatically put the 4K OLED gaming monitor into standby in order to save power and prevent burn-in when the user is not in front of the screen.
