Of late, no State of Play has been without its share of remakes/remasters. This time, it was Bend Studio's Days Gone that got the current-gen treatment. Those who already own the game can upgrade to the remastered version for just $10. But, that doesn't apply to PlayStation Plus subscribers.
A Reddit user on r/PlayStationPlus spotted the caveat hidden in the fine print. Days Gone has been free for subscribers for a while, and one can't help but wonder why Sony is excluding a sizeable portion of its user base. Usually, Sony takes a game meant to be remastered off the PlayStation Plus roster, like Horizon Zero Dawn.
Then again, you can get a copy of Days Gone for cheap on Amazon, or even grab a used disk to save a few bucks. Do make sure that you get it before the remaster launches on April 25, after which the original will likely get delisted. PC players have it better because the game goes on sale often, and it was even free on the Epic Games Store once. All in all, you really won't need to pay full price ($50) unless you've been living under a rock.
