Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered PC system requirements revealed: 135 GB of hard drive space and mandatory PlayStation Network ID linking needed
Nixxes and PlayStation have revealed the PC system requirements for the upcoming Horizon Zero Dawn remake. It is essentially the same as Horizon Forbidden West, presumably because both games use the same engine. While the game should run relatively well on last-gen hardware, the requirements ramp up quickly if you want to game at 4K. The Horizon Zero Dawn remake is available for purchase on Steam/Epic Games Store now and will be playable on October 13. Those who already own the original game can upgrade it to the remastered version for just $10.

Horizon Zero Dawn will take up a whopping 135 GB on your PC. While that is a bit lower than the 150 GB occupied by Forbidden West, it is still a lot of space. Thankfully, its memory requirements remain the same at 16 GB. Steam Deck, and other handheld console owners, might have a tough time running it, though. The game supports upscalers such as Nvidia DLSS, AMD FSR and Intel XeSS. Ultra-wide monitor support is also included along with DualSense haptic features (wired only on PC).
While Horizon Zero Dawn was undoubtedly one of the best-looking games on the PlayStation 4 era, Nixxes and Guerilla decided to up the ante by including a laundry list of new graphical improvements. Aloy and her companions will now dynamically react to the weather and ambient light. The list of improvements is long, and you can read all about it on the official blog post. And yes, a PlayStation account is mandatory to play the game; even on PC.
