GTA vibes – first screenshots of new open-world game impress with stunning graphics
Liquid Swords is a young development studio founded in 2020. Under the direction of Christofer Sundberg, who previously worked on games such as Just Cause and Mad Max, the studio wants to celebrate its debut with an open-world title. With the words "Our world is under construction. Our city is growing. Our streets are coming to life", two screenshots were published on Liquid Swords' X channel.

The mood in the comments on X is predominantly positive. For many users, the screenshots evoked memories of GTV 4. However, it is still unclear whether Liquid Sword's new open-world game will be a GTA-like experience on the streets of New York City. Although many assume that an open-world game in the style of GTA could be in the works, the developers have already announced on X that they do not want to be a competitor to GTA, nor are they developing a similar game:
Outstanding graphics are still viewed skeptically
In the initial screenshots, Liquid Sword's open-world game showcases impressive graphics, though they don’t appear to surpass those of titles like Cyberpunk 2077 or Black Myth: Wukong – assuming the images represent actual in-game visuals. Some X users fear that the screenshots could just be concept art. However, Liquid Swords has already confirmed in the comments on X that the images are taken directly from the game.
