A new blog post from Sony has spilt the beans about what Days Gone has in store for us on PC. It will support ultrawide monitors, third-party controllers, unlocked framerates, and more. It retails for US$49.99 and is up for pre-order on Steam and the Epic Games Store.

Sony has finally revealed that Days Gone will be available to play on PC starting May 18. It also gives us a peek into what the gameplay could look like at 4K 59.94 FPS. Several PC-specific improvements such as support for monitors with an ultrawide (21:9) aspect ratio, unlocked framerate, customizable foliage draw distance, a better photo mode, and more have been showcased, too.

Days Gone on PC will also support a wide range of controllers, including third-party ones. Then again, many players would much rather prefer the comfort of a keyboard and mouse instead of a controller. Days Gone is, after all, a first-person shooter. However, Days Gone failed to make as much of an impact as its predecessors -Horizon Zero Dawn and Death Stranding.

Much like Horizon Zero Dawn, Days Gone will also cost US$49.99 on Steam and the Epic Games Store. While that might seem a tad high for a two-year-old game, the bonuses one gets with the PC version should justify the price tag. One can only hope that the PC port reinvigorates interest in the largely-forgotten title. While one can draw many parallels between Days Gone and The Last of Us, the former lacks the je ne sais quoi that TLOU is revered for.
