A version of Bloodborne specifically remastered for the PlayStation 5 has long been rumored and requested, with an apparent glitch intensifying chatter that the action RPG title will soon be upgraded for the PS5. It’s also rumored Bloodborne will join PlayStation classics like God of War and Ghost of Tsushima for PC porting.

Bloodborne is back in the news as fans are once again convinced that the critically acclaimed title is getting a new coat of paint for the PlayStation 5. A Twitter user called Sr. Zemari has shared a screenshot from the PlayStation Store that seemingly shows Bloodborne as a PS4 demo, PS4 title, and a PS5 title. There’s even a short video clip showing the alleged availability of Bloodborne as a PS5 game – but it appears it can all be explained away as a simple software glitch, something which the PlayStation Store is not immune to.

It’s not the first time Bloodborne has been associated with getting a PS5 port though, and it would be a massive success considering how much interest there is in the 2015 title receiving some next-gen tweaking. Even the Wikipedia entry for the award-winning game has been edited to now read “Platform(s) PlayStation 4 & PlayStation 5”, although of course anyone can edit a wiki and this was likely done by a keen fan rather than someone in the know.

A leaker claiming to be in the know about further details in regard to Bloodborne has stated that the game will join other PlayStation classics such as God of War, Ghost of Tsushima, and The Uncharted Collection (1 to 4) as a future release for the PC. Apparently, the plans for moving this content to Microsoft Windows could be announced after the release of Days Gone for the PC platform, which is expected to happen in the second quarter of this year.

It's wise to take all these rumors with a pinch of salt, but even PlayStation boss Jim Ryan has said “There’s an opportunity to expose those great games to a wider audience” when talking about releasing PlayStation games on PC. He also claimed that PlayStation fans weren’t too upset about seeing their favorite titles turning up on other platforms and that the company “will continue to take mission steps in this direction”.
