Talented 3D artist brings Bloodborne 2 to life in stunning Unreal Engine 5 concept trailer
FromSoftware's stoic silence about Bloodborne has prompted die-hard fans of the franchise to make up their own announcements, as rumours about a remake/remaster failed to materialize. One talented 3D artist spruced up existing Bloodborne gameplay footage to envision what its remastered version would look like. Now, YouTuber Enfant Terrible fired up Unreal Engine 5 and did what Sony has refused to do for years- unveil Bloodborne 2.
The Bloodborne 2 concept trailer starts off in the midst of what can be considered post-Bloodborne Central Yharnam, complete with the burning beast on a stake and all, but completely bereft of any citizens. It is then followed by a tour of what could be different parts of Yharnam left out of the previous game, including a Victorian-era mansion, palace, culverts and even a fort that looks like it has been ripped out of Demon's Souls. The artist does an excellent job of imagining a variety of environments where Bloodborne 2 could potentially be set, which will likely expand beyond Yharnam.
Lore-wise, Bloodborne doesn't leave much of a scope for a sequel; however, FromSoftware should be able to scrounge something up, given that they squeezed out three Dark Souls games. Fans, on the other hand, have mostly given up on a Bloodborne sequel ever being released and will settle for a remaster/PC port for now. Japan Studio's departure from Sony doesn't help Bloodborne 2's prospects, either, although the sheer amount of critical acclaim received by the original could prompt Sony to reconsider.
