Opinion | Another Horizon Zero Dawn? Rumours spread about God of War making the jump from PS4 exclusive to PC, but that is not the full picture
The development of Death Stranding and Horizon Zero Dawn for PC seemed to cause anguish for some fans of the PlayStation brand. With people still reeling from the latter making its way to PC, few will appreciate the idea of another PlayStation exclusive becoming a cross-platform game. However, now people are speculating that God of War could be coming to PC.
This assertion hinges on God of War now missing the "Only on PlayStation" tag from its official website. With the same occurring for Death Stranding before Kojima Productions announced its PC port, the removal of this tag for God of War seemingly confirms that a PC version is on the horizon, too.
As we have noted, this does not necessarily represent proof of a PC port of God of War being in development. However, it has emerged that God of War has never had an "Only on PlayStation" tag. The Wayback Machine verifies that while the official website used to include a "PS4 Pro Enhanced" tag, it never listed God of War as being "Only on PlayStation".
In our opinion, there appears to be nothing to the idea that God of War is coming to PC. Sony could do a better job at labelling its console exclusives to avoid this confusion, though.
