AOC's AGON Pro AG246FK6 is a new 24.1-inch Full HD gaming monitor featuring a 600Hz refresh rate. Built for competitive gaming, it prioritizes speed over image fidelity.
The monitor uses a Fast TN panel with a 0.3ms MPRT and 0.5ms GTG response time to minimize ghosting and input lag. Color coverage includes 99% sRGB and 90% DCI-P3, which is pretty solid for a TN display, though it won’t match the vibrancy of OLED or high-end IPS alternatives. The brightness tops out at 350 nits with a peak of 500 nits, which is decent but again, falls short of HDR monitors with better contrast performance.
Connectivity is quite robust, with two HDMI 2.1 ports, a DisplayPort 1.4, four USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, a USB Type-B port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The stand allows for 130mm of height adjustment, ±30 degrees of swivel, and tilt adjustments between -5 to 23 degrees. AOC has also included Light FX RGB lighting on the rear to go along with a gaming aesthetic.
This monitor should be great for professional esports players who demand the fastest possible refresh rates, even at the cost of panel quality and resolution. While its speed is definitely impressive, the 1080p TN panel means it won’t deliver the best visuals outside of competitive gaming. Pricing and availability are unknown at the time of writing.
