The Xiaomi Mijia Smart Bathroom Heater P1 has been launched in China. This is a hybrid heating, lighting and ventilation device with HyperOS for smart home integration. It is designed to keep your bathroom warm, clear steam after a shower and dry clothes faster.
The Mijia Smart Bathroom Heater P1 has a 3,000W graphene heating panel, which the company claims can raise the temperature in your bathroom by 15°C (~27°F) in as little as one minute. It can be used to blow warm or cold air through the 470 mm (~18.5 inches) outlet, swinging from 60 to 90° to maximise distribution. According to Xiaomi, this allows it to ventilate your whole house in around two minutes; the ventilation volume given is 254 m³ per hour. There is intelligent temperature control technology, ensuring that the room remains at a constant temperature, and it is said to offer a 99% sterilization rate. Plus, a volatile organic compound (VOC) sensor can be used to detect compounds like cleaning, personal hygiene or beauty products, automatically switching on the device to remove these odours.
The built-in lighting panel delivers up to 1,400 lumens brightness, with stepless warm and cool white light with a 2,800 to 6,000K color temperature range. The Bathroom Heater P1 comes with a wall-mounted touchscreen remote, where you can adjust various settings. Plus, you can remotely control the device through the Mi Home app or with Xiao AI voice commands. The panel is designed to be embedded into your bathroom ceiling, measuring 600 x 300 mm (~23.6 x 11.8 inches).
You can buy the Xiaomi Mijia Smart Bathroom Heater P1 in China for CNY 1,299 (~$180). It is unclear whether or when this device could launch in other markets like the EU, where the company already sells smart home products like the Smart Tower Heater Lite (curr. €64.50 at Amazon DE).
