Xiaomi Router BE3600: Cheaper Wi-Fi 7 capable device now available in Europe

Xiaomi has officially launched the Router BE3600 in Europe. This model has been listed at the brand’s global store for some time and has also been available for import to various regions worldwide via Geekwills.

The Xiaomi Router BE3600 is Wi-Fi 7 capable for stable data transfers and wireless speeds of up to 3,600 Mbps. Compared to Wi-Fi 6, Xiaomi claims actual throughput is boosted by 50%, and the maximum theoretical data rate is increased by 48%. It is said to support Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax/be and 802.3/3u/3ab/3bz protocols, with OFDMA technology and Multi-RU allocations to reduce latency. Xiaomi suggests that high speeds are guaranteed for multiplayer gaming, HD live streaming and video calls. Plus, there is ‘exclusive acceleration’ for Xiaomi and Redmi smartphones, which are automatically detected and prioritized accordingly for enhanced gaming with reduced lag and latency.

There is also 4K QAM technology, which should increase the data throughput for supported devices. The 2x2 Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) router is equipped with the Qualcomm Wi-Fi 7 quad-core 1.1 GHz processor, delivering up to 10120 DMIPS and supporting up to 128 devices connected simultaneously. On top of this, there is a 2.5G Ethernet port supporting 2000M broadband, alongside three gigabit Ethernet ports, support for dual-LAN link aggregation and customized IPTV settings.

The company suggests that it is easy to establish a mesh network or integrate the router with an existing system. Xiaomi's Mesh networking lets you connect to up to 10 routers simultaneously with support for mixed networks. Plus, you can use the Xiaomi Home app, available for iOS and Android, to manage the device. The router has a white outer, measuring 209.98 x 40.95 x 219.83 mm, with four high-gain antennas. You can now buy the Xiaomi Router BE3600 in countries like Germany and Poland for €64.99/PLN 299, making it a relatively cheap model. It is also listed on the Mi UK store, though it is not yet available to purchase here.
