MSI unveils high-performance mesh system with true Wi-Fi 7 support

MSI has officially announced the Roamii BE Pro Mesh System. Requiring at least two routers, the system is designed to deliver strong network coverage in large living spaces, even across multiple storeys. According to the company, it supports up to 200 devices at once and can cover roughly 560 m² (6,000 sq ft) with two router units, though real-world coverage will vary depending on environmental factors.

The Roamii BE Pro supports the Wi-Fi 7 standard and operates on the 6 GHz band alongside the more common 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands. Its maximum transfer rate is listed at 11 Gbit/s, though this figure reflects the combined throughput across all bands. With Multi-Link Operation (MLO), compatible devices can connect to the system using multiple bands simultaneously, improving speed, latency and overall connection reliability.

Thanks to adaptive roaming, the Roamii BE Pro helps client devices seamlessly switch between nodes and select the most suitable band for optimal performance. The two routers can communicate with each other either wirelessly or via their four 2.5 Gbit/s Ethernet ports. The wired option is particularly useful in homes with existing Ethernet cabling and also allows for higher-speed connections to NAS devices or PCs. Each router unit features internal antennas, customisable RGB lighting and app-based management. The Roamii BE Pro is available now from retailers like Amazon for around $350, alongside its lower-end sibling, the MSI Roamii BE Lite.
