Xiaomi has launched the Mijia Rich Mine Water Purifier 1200G in China. This smart home product is designed for the kitchen, allowing you to access filtered water on tap. According to the product page, the tap can deliver water with minerals that your body needs to function: calcium, sodium, magnesium, potassium and strontium,
Xiaomi's new Mijia Rich Mine Water Purifier offers three settings, pure water, strontium-enriched water and micro-mineral water. The water purification process involves an RO filter, which is estimated to last for up to five years, which Xiaomi claims can remove 99.9% of lead and 100% of E. coli. With a 3.18L/min flow rate, the tap is said to fill a glass in around three seconds. The accompanying tap has an integrated OLED screen with touch controls, where you can view water usage and adjust the output. Plus, thanks to HyperOS, you can view further information, include the TDS value, and remotely control the smart home device in the Mijia app.
The Xiaomi Mijia Rich Mine Water Purifier 1200G will retail in China for CNY 3,399 (~$468), though it is currently available at JD.com for the discounted price of CNY 2,719.20 (~$375). Whether or when this model could launch in other markets such as Europe is unclear; in countries like Germany, the company already sells products including the Smart Water Dispenser (Hot and Cold) (curr. €129.99 at Xiaomi Store DE).
