Anyone searching for a fresh alternative to The Sims might have just found it. Developed by inZOI Studio and published by Krafton, Inc., inZOI is an upcoming life simulation game where players step into the shoes of a designer at AR Company, tasked with managing a neighborhood of virtual residents known as Zois. Unlike The Sims, inZOI puts a stronger emphasis on photorealistic visuals, open-world environments and detailed customization tools.
The game features an open world where players can guide their characters using either point-and-click or direct control. It offers deep customization options for characters, homes and even the surrounding environment through the "City Edit" mode. At the start of Early Access, players will be able to explore three distinct open worlds: Dowon, inspired by Seoul; Bliss Bay, modeled after Los Angeles; and Cahaya, which draws from tropical destinations in Indonesia. One of inZOI's standout features is the "Canvas" tool, an all-in-one system for creating and sharing custom content, from detailed outfits and unique furniture to fully designed houses. The game also supports plugins, making modding more accessible and flexible for creators.
The most requested game on Steam
Over the past week, around 52,000 users have added inZOI to their Steam wishlists, making it the most wanted game on Valve’s platform – surpassing even highly anticipated titles like Hollow Knight: Silksong, Deadlock and Elden Ring: Nightreign. This surge in interest follows a recent developer showcase and the release of the Creative Studio demo, which lets players try out the game’s powerful character and furniture design tools and start creating their own content.
Release on March 28
inZOI is set to launch in Early Access on March 28. While the exact price hasn’t been revealed yet, the game’s Steam page suggests it will be offered at a discounted rate during the Early Access phase.
