The IKEA Bilresa Dual Button, an unannounced smart switch, has appeared in a leaked image. According to the leaker, this smart home product is currently being tested internally. If the rumors are true, it would be one of the first IKEA devices to support Matter out of the box.

An image of a new IKEA smart switch, the Bilresa Dual Button, appears to have leaked. IKEA already offers two smart home switches: the Rodret Wireless dimmer/power switch for smart lights and the Somrig shortcut button. The latter can be used to trigger smart home scenes saved in the IKEA Home smart app.

The picture of the IKEA Bilresa was shared by Homewithapple on social media, showing a wall-mounted switch with two buttons. The creator suggests that the buttons can be controlled individually. Plus, they indicated that the product would support Matter over Thread, which would allow it to integrate with many smart home ecosystems, such as Google Home, Apple HomeKit and Amazon Alexa.

As it stands, the Bilresa would be one of the first Matter products from IKEA. The Dirigera hub, which is used to connect the brand’s smart home products, gained support for Matter through a software update in September. Users can currently test this feature through The Workshop in the IKEA Home smart app.

It is unclear when the IKEA Bilresa Dual Button could launch and how much it would cost. According to Homewithapple, this product is still being tested internally. As an indication of price, the IKEA Rodret and IKEA Somrig retail at £5.00/€6.99 and £7.00/€6.99, respectively.
