Xiaomi has revealed the Smart Standing Air Circulation Fan in a product listing on its global website. This is a 2-in-1 smart home device, which can be either a tabletop or floor-standing fan with a slim body.
The Smart Standing Air Circulation Fan delivers a 1,440m³/h (50,853ft³/h) airflow, with a 13m (~43ft) ventilation range. As such, it is said to refresh a whole room in just two minutes. The model offers 100° vertical and 120° horizontal oscillation, allowing the cool air to blow in many directions. It can be remotely controlled via the Xiaomi Home app, where users can choose from Straight Wind or Natural Wind modes and 100 speed levels. You can also use the app to create a schedule, and it can also be controlled with Google Home or Amazon Alexa. Plus, it can be linked to other smart home devices like a temperature sensor or air conditioner.
According to Xiaomi, the fan can run relatively quietly, with a 27.9 dBA operating noise, making it suitable for a bedroom. With a 1.78W output in the lowest power mode, the company claims it would only need 1.4kWh to run for an entire summer. It has a removable cover and measures 326 × 310 × 886mm (~12.8 x 12.2 x 34.9").
It remains to be seen when the Xiaomi Smart Standing Air Circulation Fan will launch or how much it will cost. As a rough guide, the Mi Smart Standing Fan 2 retailed for €89.99 (curr. $159.99 via third-party seller at Amazon). Xiaomi has also recently unveiled the Smart Desktop Air Circulation Fan, which is also expected to launch worldwide.
